Some feedback of the results of the seminar

CC=CC
Critical Consumption equals Conscious Choice.

This formula expresses in short the definitions created during the seminar in the framework of YOUTH program of the EC this February in Sofia:

- Critical Consumption is a responsible and ethical choice of tools and behaviors in front of the earth and humanity for a fair and sustainable life;
- Having common ethics on global health and human rights we feel responsible of the impact of our consumption choices;
- Critical consumption is a conscious choice for overcoming illusionary needs;
- Critical consumption is a conscious responsible behavior towards yourself, others and the nature.

What else has been achieved during the seminar? Here is a few:
- Information on the elements of critical consumption has been gathered: such as sustainable tourism, ethical finance, organic agriculture, eco-labeling, fair trade, renewable energy, boycott…check soon at http://www.criticalconsumption.info/. Currently you would find at the web site photo story of the seminar.
- Informed the public of our activities and of the activities of our international partners in the area of CC and sustainable development via a public debate at the Red House.

We remain focused now on launching the web site.….in the mean time we shall keep you updated on the learnings from a study visit in Italy also in the framework of YOUTH program on critical consumption occurring in this very moment where we are visiting organic farms, earth-made houses, schools supplied with solar energy etc.

We are happy that through the seminar we have been able to meet many like-minded people and organizations working in that field. For the individuals we can say that their appreciation of what we do makes us continue and for the organizations we can list their web sites:

http://www.trinoga.org
http://artmospheric.org/
http://bluelink.info/cvs-bg
http://www.zazemiata.bg/

We really appreciate the activities of Trinoga in Jelen and CVS in Vlahi in building sustainable farms and we would be targeting developing similar activities in the future in parallel with continuing our work in non-formal education and awareness campaigns.
